Before that, I spent three years designing payroll tax compliance and HR products at Asure Software. My focus is finance software where a confusing screen becomes a costly mistake.

Asure Compliance Engine
One configuration model for 9,000+ tax agencies
Brought onsite to redesign screens, I found that no one had ever mapped how the compliance engine's entities depended on each other. I built that map first, then designed the state machine and configuration patterns on top of it.
Payroll tax compliance across 9,000+ agencies: a misconfiguration is a failed filing, not a bug.

Four portals, one product
Four enterprise HR portals, each with its own login, became one. I led the research that reframed the brief from a visual refresh to a structural consolidation, then designed the portal across eight iterations.

How I design for regulated finance
Never show a state the system isn't in.
